“And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.” (Genesis 3:8, KJV)

The patterns of the last few emails, except for All Saints Day, are products of my walk with God through Genesis Three. I believe all life begins and ends in this chapter. There are mysteries to be uncovered and the nature of God to be learned in this delicate and essential scene of creation. At the foot of the tree, all creation's main characters are introduced: God, Adam, Woman, and the serpent. 

Pray with and come alongside me as I pray, walk, and learn with God in this place. The learning has been overwhelming. I’m experiencing confusion and chaos in my mind and have prayerfully learned as I go. I want God’s word to do His work within my soul in His time. This passage was the hardest to analyze, and as I reflect on God’s nature, the older passages reveal themselves in a new light. I’ll return to the previous posts and add some new revelations and refinements. 

Genesis 3:8 is causing me to slow down and break it into three pieces for the different themes that caught my attention and required further contemplation and research. I wanted to learn the original Hebrew words in the King James Version translation and understand the context of ancient Hebrew when the writer wrote God’s word.

1. מִתְהַלֵּךְ Walking

2. קוֹל Voice

3. לְרוּחַ Wind

In the translation below, I stubbled upon Jeff Benner’s work of mechanical translation of the bible from Hebrew. You can check out his work HERE.

I’m still sorting through the chaos in my mind of the information I’ve learned over the past two weeks. I’m going to take a week or two to pray and sort out all the feelings and emotions before I start writing.

To respectfully absorb the divine presence of YHWH the Elohiym, I must allow His words to set into my heart and experience within my soul before any understanding of His nature is revealed or shared.
