Sacrament of The Flesh

My body belongs to the LORD, as I consume Christ’s flesh and blood into myself. Christ is the food of the tree of life that nourishes, cleanse, and purifies my body. The desire for HIM consumes me, and I want nothing but to belong to HIM.

Every week, I stretch out my hands to ask for His flesh, eat Him into my mouth, and consume Him with my soul. My body and soul mesh into His body, and my whole being morphs into eternity with Him dwelling in me. “And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:” Genesis 3:22.

His blood and flesh enter into the chambers of my heart, delivering life and mercy. So likewise, the two remaining chambers of my heart pump life and wisdom into the rest of my body, cleansing me, healing me, and purifying me. “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” Luke 6:45. He shall cleanse and Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be alway acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm xix. 14.

His flesh consumes my whole being, and my flesh consumes Him. My body mixed with His in a physical vortex of new creation. There no longer exists a separation between Him and me.

He feeds me, and I am whole. I am His, and He is mine. In this mystery lies a deeper chamber within my being. The deep, dark, and serene place where my soul rests in HIM.

I am His lover eternally. I am bound to Him, yet I am free. I am His as a living sacrifice.
